Practical crochet guidance
Crovela shares crochet education, project planning, troubleshooting, and seasonal home decor ideas. Our articles are general information. They cannot account for every material, skill level, or intended use. Yarn choice, hook size, tension, measurements, and finishing can change a project’s appearance and fit.
Patterns, testing, and sources
An article may be an original guide, a discussion of a technique, or a resource linking to another creator’s pattern. We identify outside patterns and tutorials when referenced. A planning guide is not automatically a complete written pattern. Follow the original designer’s full instructions and stated terms when making their project.
We do not claim that every linked pattern or project has been made or independently tested by Crovela. Any first-hand testing claim should be supported within the article. Make a small sample, check gauge and measurements, and read the entire pattern before committing materials. If a stitch count or instruction seems inconsistent, stop and check the source rather than guessing.
Images and videos
Photographs may show illustrative supplies or projects made by different creators. Captions identify relevant credits, licenses, and distinctions between illustrations and the project being discussed. Images of separate projects are not a record of one continuous making process. Where AI-generated illustrations are used, they should be identified; they are visual references, not evidence that a pattern has been tested.
Embedded videos belong to their respective creators. Their inclusion provides a learning reference and does not imply endorsement of Crovela by the creator. Third-party content may change or become unavailable.
Use materials safely
Craft tools, yarn strands, stuffing, beads, buttons, and other small parts can present hazards. Decorative items are not automatically suitable for babies, children, pets, food contact, or use as protective equipment. Consider the intended recipient, follow material manufacturers’ instructions, and keep small detachable parts and long cords away from young children.
A crocheted runner or coaster should not be assumed to protect a surface from hot cookware. Use suitable trivets and keep textiles away from open flames. Follow the yarn’s care instructions when washing, blocking, steaming, or ironing.
Recommendations, advertising, and outside links
We may discuss products or link to third-party resources. Any applicable sponsorship or affiliate relationship will be disclosed near the relevant content. An advertisement is separate from our editorial guidance; appearance of an ad does not mean that we have tested or endorsed its product. Check a seller’s details, current price, and policies before buying.
