Privacy Policy

Who we are

Crovela operates crovela.net, a website about crochet, seasonal crafts, and home decor. This policy explains how information is handled when you read our articles, leave comments, subscribe through an available subscription feature, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email info@crovela.net.

Information you provide

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, any name you supply, and attachments you choose to send. We use these details to answer your inquiry, investigate a correction, or handle your request. Please do not send passwords, payment information, identification documents, or other sensitive information.

When you comment, WordPress processes the details entered in the comment form, the comment itself, and technical details such as your IP address and browser information for moderation and security. Your displayed name, comment, and any website link you provide may be public; your email address is not displayed as part of your comment. Comments may be reviewed before publication.

If you choose an available post or comment subscription option, your email address and subscription choices are processed to deliver the updates you request. Follow the unsubscribe or subscription-management link in those emails to change your preferences. Sending an ordinary inquiry does not sign you up for marketing.

Technical information and cookies

Our hosting and website services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, referring pages, requested URLs, access times, and security logs to deliver pages, diagnose faults, and protect the site. Cookies are small files stored by a browser. WordPress may use cookies for administrator sign-in, preferences, and optional saved comment details.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and improve our content and navigation. Depending on the browser and settings, it processes online identifiers, page views, interactions, referral information, device and browser details, and approximate geographic information. Analytics cookies can recognize returning browsers. Google states that GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses.

See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported desktop browsers. Browser privacy controls and blocking tools may also limit collection. These tools do not necessarily stop every technical request needed to load the website.

Hosting, WordPress services, and embedded videos

Hostinger provides our hosting infrastructure. See Hostinger’s Privacy Policy. Our WordPress site is connected to Jetpack, provided by Automattic. Depending on the features used, Automattic processes technical information, comments, subscription details, and site activity. See its privacy notice for visitors to users’ sites.

Articles include embedded YouTube videos. Loading or interacting with an embed can connect your browser to Google or YouTube and share technical information. That provider may use cookies or associate activity with an account you are signed into. Its own privacy policy governs that processing. Where Gravatar avatars are displayed, a hash derived from a commenter’s email address may be sent to that service; see Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Advertising and affiliate links

If Google advertising is displayed on Crovela, Google and other participating vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers to deliver and measure ads. Advertising cookies can support ads based on visits to this and other websites. You can manage Google personalized-ad preferences through My Ad Center; participating third-party advertising choices are available at YourAdChoices. Opting out of personalized ads does not necessarily remove advertising.

An affiliate relationship, sponsorship, or material connection will be identified with the relevant recommendation when one applies. Visiting an outside retailer takes you to a service with its own privacy practices. This section does not mean that every link is an affiliate link or that advertising is displayed on every page.

How information is used and shared

Information supports website delivery, audience measurement, requested communications, comment moderation, troubleshooting, security, and handling legal or rights-related requests. Hosting, analytics, email, and WordPress service providers process information as part of their services. We may disclose relevant records where required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to protect the website or address misuse.

Retention and international processing

Published comments and associated metadata may remain while the discussion is useful, unless removed. Correspondence is retained as needed to answer and document inquiries, with some records kept longer for security or legal reasons. Provider retention periods vary by service and settings; this page does not promise that every record expires on the same date. Hosting and service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence.

Your privacy choices and requests

You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser, adjust provider settings, unsubscribe from optional emails, and contact info@crovela.net to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Depending on your location, other rights may apply, including objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to your local data protection authority. We may need proportionate information to verify a request; some records may need to be retained where the law allows or requires it.

Where a cookie or privacy-choice control is displayed, use it to manage the options it offers. Browser controls are not a replacement for any consent mechanism required by applicable law. Our practices and available controls may change as site features develop.

Children and policy updates

Crovela is intended for a general audience and does not ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has submitted personal information that should be removed, contact us. We will update this page when relevant services or practices change and revise the date above.
